Harvey Milk, Got Hope. Such cool animation.

This is a very cool video that’s been floating around the Web for several months now. It was put together by Causecast back in October to (unsuccessfully) aid with Prop 8. However, given last night, I thought it might be timely again.

I love this animation style. Simple, iconic, structured. And the idea to include the original, fuzzy audio of Milk’s speech was brilliant; the animation completely complements the sound.

This style of animation appears to be in vogue. I’ve seen it elsewhere since this video was released, including (speaking of the election), Starbuck’s “If you vote, we buy your coffee” campaign.

Very cool, Dave… it’s a cliche’d thing to say, but that was inspiring. Thanks for posting it.
