Personally, I got to work on a few really great Web projects these past 12 months. It’s been an interesting and fun year digitally, as the push for Web standards and rich media interfaces has become much more prolific.

Here are a couple of pieces that evaluate the best of 2008, and point to where we’re heading in 2009:

• The top 100 Web designs in 2008, as compiled by Radiiate. Not surprisingly, this made up mostly of portfolio sites for talented Web designers.
• And, Smashing Magazine points out the trends that have emerged from 2008, giving us the top 10 Web design trends for 2009. I was especially excited to see that a project I’m working on with Terry (my art director partner) at the agency includes a few of these trends.
